I am not a word smith, I am an artist. Everyone has creativity of some sort, for me it is paint. I can make a blank wall come to life, hopefully this written bio will "paint" a picture of me.

Mount Dora is my home town and I did not stray far, only to the Orlando area. Out of high school my first work experience was in retail were no matter what was being sold I always gravitated toward design and display aspects of the job.

Eventually, out of retail jobs, I applied, reluctantly, for a position as a painter. In order to get the job I had to join the painters union, attend journeymen school and work at Disney doing painting and maintenance work. The same day I accepted this challenge I received a call from Home Depot offering me a part time job I had also applied for earlier. So I accepted that job too... how hard could this be?

Both decisions were right. Disney gave me great faux and painting skills, while Home Depot offered me marvelous contacts. I firmly believe that "Home Depot is a one stop shop", you can get it all there! I personally found a new career, lots of great friends and a wonderful husband out of my five year gig!

After the birth of our beautiful son, my husband and I decided to move to a "small town" and his suggestion was back to my home town of Mount Dora. I must admit, I resisted at first, not sure Lake County was a market for my talents, but today, I realize it was among the best decisions of my life.

My professional training includes Sarasota School of Decorative Arts, Oakridge Vocational (for journeymen license) and Disney. Adding to my skills, during my years at Home Depot was teaching classes to the public in painting / faux technics, and training new employees.

Locales where I have worked include ABC's Extreme Home Makeover (Altamonte Springs, Holmes family episode), Jeffery Paul's Chop House (Eustis), Bay Street Theater renovation (Eustis), Formally Yours Inc.(Eustis), Eclectic Lane (Eustis), Magnolia building (Eustis), Positano's Restaurant (Lake Mary Plaza), Decorators Warehouse (Ocoee), Mission Inn (Howey In The Hills). Also working with Lake Countys finest builders, decorators and designers.
